Meet The Board
Dance Artist Alliance CLT is a collective of dance artists, choreographers, teaching artists and allied professionals that have joined together across dance genres to increase cultural equity and access for diverse artists and communities, build dance audiences and promote quality, sustainability and unity within the sector.
CO-CHAIR
Mufuka is the founder/director of MufukaWorks Dance Co. and Dance Educator of McClintock Middle. Her resume also includes Charlotte Ballet and Boom Festival Clt.
Receiptient of the 2019 NC Teacher of the Year award, Mufuka's education includes Masters of Arts Administration from Winthrop University and a BA in Dance and Communications from Coker University

A proud member of the Tuscarora Nation of NC, Stephanie was born and raised in Charlotte, NC, as she gained a passion for dance at a young age. During and after attending UNC Charlotte as a Dance Ed. Major, Stephanie, has worked with several local companies such as Moving Poets, Moving Spirits and Mufuka Works, to name a few. Stephanie was the Artistic Director of ACES Dance Co. while teaching Prek for 14yrs. Stephanie continues to carry out her passion for education and dance focusing on the needs of the dance community throughout the Carolinas.

Accounting and dance are a unique combination for an artist. Originally from Charleston, SC, Reba’s passion for the Arts started as a child. With a Masters in Arts Administration, Reba believes in using the knowledge and skills she’s acquired formally and informally to strengthen other Artists and Art & Culture organizations.

Camerin Watson is a local dancer and choreographer in Charlotte, NC. She has BFA in dance performance and choreography from UNCG and received her Adaptive Dance Teacher Certification from Boston Ballet in 2018. Watson is the Artistic Director for BOOM, Charlotte’s annual contemporary arts festival and the Director of Open Door Studio’s Adaptive Dance Program for dancers with and without disabilities.

Brenné Forst is a choreographer, dancer, and educator born and raised in Charlotte, NC, and has been dancing since the age of 5. She has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sociology from East Carolina University and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Winthrop University. In 2019, Forst was invited to perform in the Merce Cunningham Centennial at Winthrop University. She is currently a high school dance teacher, dance team coach, and a company dancer in MufukaWorks.

Melody is a true East Coast girl; she has resided in Charlotte, NC for 12yrs now with roots in SC, NJ and NY. With a passion and interest in all the arts, Melody accomplished her B.A. degree in Media Arts from the University of South Carolina with a concentration in video production with cognates in Theatre, Speech, and Dance. Her many internships, dance troupes, and job opportunities has molded her to be a well-rounded, connected force in today's Media and Entertainment Industries. Utilizing skills as talent and behind the scenes support has created quite an impressive resume and network of contacts.
Melody currently works as a Specials Teacher in various schools as music and art history and theory teacher, and theater and dance coach. She previously has been employed by No Joke Entertainment (CEO Comedian Akintunde Warnock), Supa Hot Beats Inc., Clear Channel Radio, and Turner Broadcasting Inc., and is currently working on numerous plays and independent movies in the southeastern region of the country. She also has worked as a writer, choreographer, assistant photographer and videographer. As well as, a video and stage director for various Independent Artists in GA, SC, and NC. She is currently a dance fitness instructor, Zumba instructor, and board member of the Dance Artist Alliance of Charlotte. She is a dancer for The Charlotte Culture Creative Group and Mufuka Works Dance Company.
